High Intensity Interval Training
HIIT training is more how you workout rather than the lift itself. The focus is extremely intense bursts followed by short rest times. This high intensity torches fat extremely well, while toning and shaping muscle. When many think of HIIT, they may consider CrossFit or a functional style training, both of which are incredibly efficient in their own rights. My personal approach to HIIT is to use the same workouts as normal, however I increase the speed in which weight is lifted, while decreasing the weight itself for more control. This repeated quick firing of the muscles paired with an extremely strict rest time of 30-45 seconds throughout the entire workout keeps my heart rate high and my metabolism cranking! Goodbye belly fat!
NOTE: Hydrate heavily as HIIT depletes water storages quickly!
